Peter de Jánosi YSSP Advisor Travel Grants
Faculty advisers to students from U.S. Institutions who are selected for the YSSP may apply for a Travel Grant to support their travel and living expenses for a visit of up to 2 weeks to IIASA during their student’s participation in the program. The maximum amount of these grants will be set by the FoI Board.
Application Process
Applications will be invited after the selection of YSSP Fellows. Immediately after YSSP offers are made in March, the availability of these travel grants will be communicated to prospective YSSP Fellows and their IIASA mentors.
Submit the following materials to the Friends of IIASA Executive Director:
- a request by the YSSP Fellow’s advisor for a travel grant, including their interest in the YSSP project and the potential for continuing collaboration with IIASA researchers after the Fellowship period; proposals that include opportunities for institutional collaboration will be particularly welcome.
- an invitation for the faculty member’s visit from the sponsoring IIASA Project.
The purpose of these grants is to encourage institutional collaborations between IIASA and U.S. institutions, leveraging the YSSP research investigations. The de Jánosi YSSP Advisor Travel Grants are direct reimbursements of reported travel expenses, up to a maximum as set by the Friends of IIASA Board. Recipients will be asked to provide a brief report on their stay at IIASA.
