Peter E. de Jánosi Postdoctoral Fellowship
Peter E. de Jánosi Postdoctoral Fellowship celebrates the legacy of Dr. de Jánosi. Director of IIASA from 1990 to 1996, Dr. de Jánosi was also IIASA Council member from 1987 to 1990, and IIASA Program leader from 1976 to 1978. Established by the IIASA Fund Board of Trustees, the scholarship fund reached a goal of $1,000,000 for at least ten years in 2015. The currently-pursued successful program extension will enable Peter’s Fellowship to support one postdoctoral scholar per year for perpetuity.
The Peter E. de Jánosi Postdoctoral Fellowship targets at inspiring future generations of IIASA scholars. The postdoctoral fellowship endowed in his name offers selected postgraduate students the opportunity to participate in the IIASA Postdoctoral Program.
Recipients of the Peter E. de Jánosi Postdoctoral Fellowship carried forward social sciences in an interdisciplinary analysis of significant public policy problems. The Fellowship provides support for their work at IIASA for one to two years.
